Super Bowl LII was the 52nd annual edition of the Super Bowl, an American football game played between the National Football League (NFL) champion Philadelphia Eagles and the American Football Conference (AFC) champion New England Patriots. The game was held at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota on February 4, 2018. The Patriots defeated the Eagles by a score of 41–33 to win their fourth Super Bowl title.
This was their fourth championship in six years, and eighth overall (including championships in 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2017 as well as appearances in 1990, 1994, 1996 and 2013). The Patriots became only the sixth team in NFL history to win four or more titles; they are also just the fourth team to win back-to-back championships (the others being the Steelers (eight), Cowboys (six), and Packers (five)). The game was televised in North America by Fox with commentary by Chris Myers and Tony Dungy. It was also broadcast internationally on Fox Sports Networks. In Canada it aired on TSN while ESPN aired it in the United States.
